Pinnacle Basketball can teach the beginner fundamentals right through to the advanced skill sets that professional athletes display all around the world. This not only includes physical skills such as ball-handling, passing and shooting, but also the mental side of the game. Game concepts and understanding will also feature throughout every Pinnacle session to help give a greater purpose to why we practice. Pinnacle will also be a great place to meet new friends who also enjoy playing basketball.
Are Pinnacle training sessions suitable for all playing levels?
Pinnacle’s goal is to raise the level of basketball at all levels, which is why we offer various programs for athletes of all skill levels and ages. Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced player, there is always going to be a fun and challenging workout available to help you improve.
Should I attend more than one Pinnacle training session?
The more we practice, the better we become. Regular training under the instruction of our knowledgeable and passionate coaches will enable athletes to develop their skills faster. If attending multiple training sessions is too difficult, we always encourage athletes to take home a couple of their favourite drills or moves to practice. If you’d like to discuss training package options, please reach out anytime through the details found on the contact page. All of our members are valued.
Will Mitch McCarron be involved at every Pinnacle training session?
Due to professional basketball commitments, Mitch unfortunately cannot attend all sessions throughout the year. However, he has enlisted a group of experienced and trusted coaches to run the programs while he is absent. All programs are created and managed by Mitch from afar, while also being available via email to answer any questions you may have about joining the Pinnacle family.
Are parents allowed to stay and watch?
Yes! While seating space may be limited, we encourage interested parents to stay and watch. We do however warn that if parents violate our Integrity Codes, they may be asked to leave the area.
What is your refund policy?
There are currently no refunds for not attending training sessions. As payment is due upon booking, we recommend arriving early to each session to get the maximum amount of time on-floor. Late arrivals will not be refunded. We understand and appreciate that sometimes circumstances arise that are more important than sport, and we are committed to try and work with members around these situations. Communication is key. With enough notice, we will always attempt to move members into another session that works for the family affected. However, due to the current limit on numbers, this may not always be possible within the same week.
What if my child is sick or injured?
If your child is sick or injured, we kindly ask you to notify Pinnacle, and to not attend the training session. This is to protect your child from further harm, as well as protecting the other athletes in the session. We will gladly arrange to move your child into another session when they have made a recovery, and will not charge for missed sessions when notified of injury or illness.
Do the Pinnacle coaches have a Working with Children Check?
Yes. Every Pinnacle Basketball coach is certified under Working with Children.
What first aid will be available at a Pinnacle session?
All Pinnacle events have a First Aid qualified staff member present. A first aid kit will be available (with ice and Band-Aids) to deal with minor incidents. Major incidents may involve calling a parent/guardian/emergency contact and an ambulance.
What if my child has a medical condition?
If your child has a medical condition, we ask you to provide as much information as possible upon registration. Pinnacle Basketball are committed to helping develop all athletes, while also establishing a safe space for everybody involved. A representative will be in contact with you to discuss any conditions further before your child attends their first session.
What sets Pinnacle apart from other Basketball Academies?
Pinnacle Basketball’s programs draw from Mitch’s experience as a professional basketball player, and his time playing around the world. Using concepts from individual and team sessions, Pinnacle workouts are a combination of fun challenges and specific coaching to help athletes to be the best version of themselves. With experienced coaches and a positive training environment, we believe we can help you enjoy and understand the game like you never have before.
Who are these programs suitable for?
Pinnacle’s programs are all tailored for different skill levels and age groups. Upon signing up, Pinnacle will help to place you or your child in a program that is best suited for yours or their needs. If a change is required for whatever purpose, we will always work with you to make sure they are enjoying their hoops.
What do I wear to a Pinnacle training session?
Please wear whatever training top and shorts you feel comfortable in. Please wear enclosed runners. We do recommend wearing basketball shoes where possible. Please wear different footwear into the stadium and get changed in to your training shoes to avoid carrying dirt and dust on your basketball shoes.
